Applications
This section contains information on the applications which are planned to be integrated into the Int.eu.grid infrastructure.
Applications in three reference research lines, with clear demand for
grid-enhanced interactive use, will be considered in the first phase of
the project: medicine, physics and environment.
 Support for medicine research applications: FZK coordinates this activity, with participation of CSIC. The scope of applications that have been considered includes support for ultrasound computer tomography, including real-time data storage, assisted diagnosis on brain images and support for clinical VO. | |  Applications in physics: this task is coordinated by CSIC, and considers interactive applications
in High Energy Physics, Astrophysics, and Fusion, with strong
support of BIFI. | |
 Applications for research on environmental modeling: the task is led by UISAV and addresses in particular the interactive applications for decision support; ICM collaborates on support to meteorological and pollution related applications. |
